PROGRAM MANAGER, INTRANET – Devon Energy Corp., (7/2003 – present).   Manage the intranet redesign efforts on the U.S. sector of the corporate intranet.   The project has included the implementation of several new technologies including web content management and collaboration.  Pre-project work included managing the technology selection, architecture design, implementation, training, and transition to operations.  I have effectively managed to encourage and promote the collaboration required between the U.S. and Canadian teams via open, clear communications and sound project management methods.  The project team is comprised of 5 business members – not including the members only involved in specific project areas – and 30 technical team members.  The first two phases of the project are complete, and the third phase is currently underway.  To date, the project is on time, under budget, and has met the expected requirements and quality standards.

PROJECT MANAGER – Devon Energy Corp., (1/2000 – 12/2001).  Developed and instituted a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including an automated software configuration management system.  Instituted coding standards and processes based upon a modified RUP model.  Operated in many capacities simultaneously, including:  DBA, Web Administrator, LDAP Administrator, Developer, and Project Management duties.  Hired team consisting of web developers, SQL DBA, Web Administrator, LDAP Administrator, Tester, and Business Analyst.  Involved in 1 merger integration effort.

 

DBA/DEVELOPER – Devon Energy Corp., (3/2000 – 12/2000).  Database administrator and developer for SQL Server.  Migrated 6-8 SQL Servers housing about 100 databases from MS SQL 6.5 to 7.0 and standardized character set and sort order.  Designed, programmed and implemented intranet applications using Cold Fusion and SQL.  Built strategic gas marketing system utilizing web technologies and inSQL by Wonderware.  Web Administrator duties.  Supervised 1 DBA.  Involved in 1 merger integration effort.
