& Duke of Savoy). This lineage is widely published in many family genealogies,
the Latter Day Saints Database, Ancestry.com, etc. and a few books by prominent
Acadian Genealogists such as Arsenault and Terrebonne, but, alas, has not been proven.
Most genealogists (including me) discount this lineage as highly dubious, and it is only shown here
so that I may more easily reconnect to the line if some future DNA testing should
possibl prove otherwise, or if a different connection to Thomas Francesco Carignan should be found.
