(This lineage below is considered dubious, because the parents of Francois Savoie have never been positively identified. Most professionals believe it unlikey that the folklore around Francois being an illegitimate son of Thomas de Savoie is true.)

the Latter Day Saints Database, Ancestry.com, etc. and a few books by prominent
Acadian Genealogists such as Arsenault and Terrebonne, but, alas, has not been proven.
Most genealogists (including me) discount this lineage as highly dubious, and it is only shown here
so that I may more easily reconnect to the line if some future DNA testing should
possibl prove otherwise, or if a different connection to Thomas Francesco Carignan should be found.
